                          CHIKKUDUKAYA / BEANS CURRY

Ingredients:

  • Chopped beans-250gns.
  • Red chilli powder-1tbsp.
  • Mustard seeds-1/2tsp.
  • Salt-to taste.
  • Til powder-1tsp.
  • Dhania powder-1tsp.
  • Oil-2tbsp.
  • Turmeric powder-Pinch.
  • Curry leaves-Few.
  • Sugar-1tsp.

    Method:
    • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.Add mustard seeds,allow it to splutter.
    • Add turmeric powder , curry leaves .Fry it for a minute. 
    • Add chopped beans/chikkudukaya,salt , sugar,til powder , dhania powder and red chilli powder.
    • Add little amount of water and close the lid.
    • Cook it for 1 whistle on medium flame.
    • After the pressure has come down,open the lid and mix it well.
    • Now the curry is ready to serve with rice or chapati.
